When delivering at distances over 250 miles Arnold Contract will most likely crate the furniture and ship utilizing a common carrier. Arnold crates the furniture well in crates on pallets. While each piece of furniture is unique and has its own distinctive set of crating requirements, generally every piece gets protective padding, extra protection in the corners, wrapped in stretch wrap, and then places in a custom-made wood crate. Extra padding is added to the wood crate. The wood crate will then either be screwed or strapped to the pallet, or sometimes even both. The crates of furniture can sometimes weigh up to 1000 lbs or more. The use of a pallet allows the crate to be moved using a forklift or pallet jack.
When delivering to locations between 150 to 250 miles Arnold will work in conjunction with the customer to determine if blanket-wrapped or crated delivery is best for the project.
Delivery and inside set-up is also available for all of Arnold Contract’s furniture. Arnold can deliver under almost any set of requirements. If local, most times we are able to use our own employees with great results. The same employees that made the furniture will be the ones delivering and installing it. Since nearly all of our furniture is custom, we are unable to provide unique installation instructions for each order; however, installation is intuitive and an experienced furniture installer should not have issues.
