Arnold Contract Warranty and Care Maintenance

Warranty

Arnold Contract warrants to its initial customers that Arnold Contract products conform to specifications, drawings, samples, or other product descriptions furnished by Arnold Contract, and are of good material and workmanship, free of manufacturing and factory defects, and will function properly under normal use and service for three years if installed by Arnold Contract or an authorized Arnold dealer. However, natural variations in color and grain patterns occur in bent wood, solid wood, and veneers.

The warranty set forth above does not apply to products modified, altered, or repaired by unauthorized personnel, or to products damaged during shipment or installation, or by accident, abuse, alteration, misuse, tampering, misapplication, negligence by others, improper repair or maintenance, fire and/or other casualty. This warranty does not apply to defects in components not manufactured by Arnold.

It is expressly understood and agreed that the customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for any and all losses or damages resulting from non-conforming goods, or from any other causes, shall be the repair or replacement of defective parts at the option of Arnold Contract, and that Arnold Contract shall not be liable for damages, for injury to persons or property, nor for replacement of the entire commercial unit, if repair or replacement of defective parts can reasonably render the unit conforming.

SELLER MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO ANY MATTER WHATSOEVER, AND ARNOLD CONTRACT DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE. No officer, employee, or representative of Arnold has the authority to assume greater liability than that described above.

Our furniture functions best in proper conditions, including in temperatures between 55 and 78° F, in relative humidity of 43 to 70%, and in interiors that are shielded from direct sunlight. Failure to maintain proper conditions and to shield from direct sunlight will void any and all Arnold Contract warranties.

Care Guide

This guide provides general maintenance and finish care recommendations for your new Arnold Contract product. Proper care of your furniture should insure for years of use.

LEVELING

Your furniture is equipped with heavy duty adjustable leveling glides. After the drawers and shelves are loaded and furniture is placed in its final position, levels should be checked. All moving parts such as drawers and doors will function correctly when the unit is leveled.

All mechanical parts are precisely adjusted prior to shipment, however, during transit, mechanisms such as drawer slides, hinges, and locks can jar out of alignment. After proper leveling, should any of these items not operate, we suggest you contact your dealer for appropriate service.

POLISHING

To maintain the rich sheen of our Polyurethane, use warm water and a soft clean cloth, wiping with the grain. Always apply the water to the cloth, never directly on the furniture. Allow to dry. Using a soft clean cloth, buff with a steady even pressure, wiping with the grain.

High Pressure Laminates are simply cleaned using a mild, non-abrasive cleanser and damp cloth.

CARE SUGGESTIONS

Rubber, plastics and vinyl’s in undisturbed contact with the finish may soften or mar it. This is especially true in hot humid weather or with weighted items. The use of felt as a pad under such items will help prevent the marring of the finish.

Although the Arnold Contract top coating is highly alcohol and water resistant, ultimately these and other liquids will damage the finish. Immediately remove any spills using a blotting action. Never use nail polish remover on furniture as it will soften the finish. Avoid exposing furniture to vast changes in temperature and humidity.

Avoid the prolonged exposure to sunlight or other sources of strong light. The Arnold Contract finish is as fade proof as technically possible, however, the wood under the finish may change in color from protracted exposure to strong light. Avoid the dragging of objects across finished surfaces, always lift objects to move them.

Because each tree has its own characteristics, grain patterns and color may vary slightly from piece to piece.
